Join neighbors and volunteers for a hands-in-the-dirt restoration day in one of Virginia Highland’s hidden natural gems. Together, we’ll be removing invasive English ivy, Chinese privet, and other aggressive species from a beautiful creek bed that runs right through the heart of the neighborhood. This is a chance to slow down, work side by side, and give the creek space to breathe again—making room for native plants, healthier water flow, and a more vibrant urban ecosystem. No experience required, just a willingness to show up and care for the land we share.
