About the event
Join neighbors and volunteers for a hands-in-the-dirt restoration day at the art venue and community center Heck House. Together, we’ll be removing invasive English ivy, Chinese privet, and other aggressive species from this unique property. This is a chance to slow down, work side by side, and give the creek space to breathe again—making room for native plants, healthier water flow, and a more vibrant urban ecosystem. No experience required, just a willingness to show up and care for the land we share.
