About the event

COVID-19: In keeping with current CDC guidelines, this event will be hosted outdoors and limited to less than 20 people. There will be ample heating and lighting to make things comfortable.

Green Night Out is a limited series of private dinner parties focused on building community and teaching principles of sustainability. Eat healthy, meet new people, get outside and learn in a safe environment. Ingredients:
  • Private chef
  • Vegan food
  • Kombucha mocktails
  • DIY workshop
  • Sustainability speaker
  • Community-building & networking

Your food will be prepared by local vegan chef and healthy lifestyle guru, Chelsea O'Halloran. You'll get to meet her and enjoy some of her signature dishes, made with ingredients from local, organic farms sourced by Fresh Harvest, Metro Atlanta's healthiest, most-sustainable grocery delivery service. Aid your digestion and overall gut health with some of Golda Kombucha's best seasonal brews, made up mocktail-style. The menu will be released a week before the event date.

During dinner we'll be sharing insights into the practice of using your money to support local, green-economies. Leave full in body and spirit having spent quality time in the company of like-minded people eating nutritious and delicious food. You’ll also take home a hand-crafted "green" wallet to serve as a reminder and guide for spending, saving and investing your money for the betterment of the planet (see details below).

The first workshop in our series is all about the concept of "buying green". So, it's only natural that we'll be creating wallets made out of repurposed Tyvek, donated by The Jack Ellis Company. Tyvek is a recyclable building material that is both durable and waterproof. It's also a major waste stream on development sites. A company called Paperwallet started making wallets out of it, working with visual artists to create beautiful designs that are unparalleled in the wallet-game. We'll be using their "flat wallet" as our design template for this workshop. We're also working with a local company called Peacenik Designs to pre-color our Tyvek using natural dyes (tie-dye-style). You'll be working with our expert designers to create a wallet of your own.
