About the event
To launch the official start of our Edible Libraries Campaign, we've collaborated with Eventide Brewing to create a brand new beer for your tastebuds. Introducing the Roots Down Liberry Sour! This refreshing and delicious Berliner Weisse was made with blackberries, blueberries, and a hint of pomegranate for the perfect late summer combination.
10% of proceeds from the sale of the Liberry Sour will go to the Edible Libraries Campaign, a partnership between DeKalb County and Roots Down to completely overhaul the landscaping around 6 DeKalb County libraries, and develop educational programming, jobs training, and community-building activities.
There will be music, a brief discussion of the Edible Libraries Campaign by Roots Down Founder, Jamie Rosenthal, a special guest appearance by DeKalb County Commissioner Ted Terry, and lots more surprises. So, join us for an evening of beer, earth, and people.
